Overview of the Role

The Personal Service Technician manages both the technical and customer-facing aspects of the workshop experience. From initial booking and vehicle reception through diagnosis, repair, documentation, invoicing, and handover, the technician remains closely involved throughout the service process. Advanced diagnostic tools and OEM procedures will be used to identify and resolve vehicle concerns efficiently. The position also involves warranty administration, electronic vehicle checks, technical reporting, workshop equipment management, and coaching support for junior technicians.

What You Will Do

• Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics, repairs, periodic maintenance, and accessory fitment in accordance with Polestar repair manuals and OEM requirements.
• Manage service appointments, vehicle reception, technical consultations, repair updates, invoicing, and vehicle handover.
• Diagnose and resolve vehicle concerns using advanced diagnostic systems and high-voltage EV diagnostic tools.
• Follow the Fix It Right process to improve first-time repair performance and customer retention.
• Prepare and manage warranty documentation, Electronic Warranty Approval Requests, and warranty claims according to OEM requirements.
• Complete work order administration covering warranty, goodwill, insurance, and leasing cases.
• Conduct accurate Electronic Vehicle Checks and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Ensure workshop tools, diagnostic systems, and equipment remain available, calibrated, maintained, and updated.
• Work toward required productivity, utilisation, sold-hours, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Coach and mentor junior technicians through practical guidance and on-the-job training.
