Job summary

Rosewood Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commis – Pastry to support the pastry team in a luxury hotel environment. You will assist in preparing pastry items, maintain hygiene and organization, and help deliver exceptional dining experiences.

You should have pastry kitchen experience, a passion for pastry arts, and strong food-safety knowledge. English communication is required; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pastry kitchen within a hotel, restaurant, bakery, or similar hospitality environment.
• Passion for pastry arts and eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and safe handling practices.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality standards.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Able to communicate in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and production of pastry items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Support the pastry team while maintaining a clean, hygienic, and efficient kitchen.
• Contribute to delivering exceptional culinary experiences for guests.
• Prepare mise en place and pastry items under the Sous Chef’s guidance; follow portion controls and presentation guidelines.
