Job summary

Target Engineering and Construction Co. LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Painting Foreman to lead the painting and coating works on a major Oil & Gas EPC project.

You will organize the daily activities, supervise crews, and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and ITPs. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in construction, with at least 3 years in a foreman role, strong leadership and safety focus, and the ability to manage a multicultural workforce on large-scale multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of construction experience, including at least 3 years in a Foreman or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in large-scale multidisciplinary projects.
• Diploma/Technical Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize daily workforce activities and allocate tasks according to project priorities.
• Supervise painting and coating activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and ITP.
• Monitor workforce productivity and ensure daily targets are achieved as directed by Supervisor/Engineer.
• Provide real-time guidance and technical support to team members.
• Track and report daily work progress to site management.
• Conduct routine inspections to maintain quality standards and coordinate with QA/QC Inspectors.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements.
• Ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower; monitor resource utilization.
• Coordinate with Supervisors, Engineers, QA/QC, HSE, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.

We are seeking an experienced Painting Foreman to join our Oil & Gas EPC project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and supervising the daily activities of the workforce, ensuring all painting and coating works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the latest approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction experience, and the ability to drive productivity while maintaining the highest standards of Safety, Quality, and workmanship.

YOUR ROLE

As Painting Foreman, you will have the following areas of accountabilities

On-Site Supervision & Task Allocation

• Organize daily workforce activities and allocate tasks according to project priorities.
• Supervise painting and coating activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Monitor workforce productivity and ensure daily targets are achieved as directed by the Supervisor/Engineer.
• Provide real-time guidance and technical support to team members.
• Track and report daily work progress to site management.

Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, and industry best practices.
• Conduct routine inspections of completed and ongoing works to maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate with QA/QC Inspectors to offer completed works for inspection in accordance with the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
• Identify and rectify quality issues before progressing to subsequent activities.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
• Identify hazards, report incidents, and support investigations to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment at all times.

4. Resource Management

• Ensure the availability of materials, tools, equipment, and manpower required for daily activities.
• Monitor resource utilization to minimize wastage and maximize productivity.
• Report shortages, equipment breakdowns, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Assist in planning manpower and resource allocation for upcoming activities.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with Supervisors, Engineers, QA/QC, HSE personnel, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Verify workforce attendance and ensure personnel commence work on time.
• Monitor workforce productivity and report absences or manpower issues to the Timekeeper and Supervisors.
• Communicate site issues and progress updates effectively to management.
• Mentor and guide junior workers to improve technical skills and performance.
• Conduct on-the-job training related to workmanship, safety practices, and productivity improvements.
• Promote continuous development and knowledge sharing within the team.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Must have 8-10 years of construction experience (depending on educational background), including at least 3 years in a Foreman or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in large-scale multidisciplinary projects

Education and Certifications

• Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of industrial painting, surface preparation, protective coating systems, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Good understanding of quality standards, inspection processes, and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate multicultural workforces in a fast-paced project environment.
