Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC seeks an experienced Welding Foreman to lead site welding and fabrication on Oil & Gas EPC projects. You will supervise teams, enforce drawings and specifications, and drive safety and quality on every task.

The role requires 8–10 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. UAE work site with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior welders and conduct on-the-job coaching.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Welding Foreman to join our Oil & Gas EPC projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising welding and fabrication activities on site, ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and quality requirements.

YOUR ROLE

As Welding Foreman, you will be responsible in the performance of the following but not limited to duties and responsibilities;

Site Supervision & Workforce Management

• Organize and supervise daily welding and fabrication activities.
• Allocate tasks to welders, fabricators, and support crews to achieve project targets.
• Ensure work is carried out according to the latest approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Monitor workforce productivity and provide guidance to maximize efficiency.
• Report daily progress and site issues to Supervisors and Engineers.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure welding works comply with project specifications, approved procedures, and industry standards.
• Verify that all activities are performed in accordance with good engineering and construction practices.
• Coordinate with QA/QC personnel and ensure timely inspection of completed works as per Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Identify and rectify quality concerns before inspection stages.

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the workforce.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements.
• Enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and near misses, while supporting corrective actions.

Resource & Equipment Management

• Ensure availability of welding consumables, materials, tools, and equipment required for daily activities.
• Monitor efficient utilization of resources to minimize waste and downtime.
• Report material shortages and equipment maintenance requirements promptly.

Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate closely with Supervisors, Engineers, QA/QC, HSE personnel, and other disciplines to resolve site challenges.
• Monitor workforce attendance and productivity and report absenteeism as required.
• Maintain effective communication between management and site crews.
• Mentor junior welders and construction personnel.
• Conduct on-the-job coaching to enhance technical skills, productivity, and safety awareness.
• Support workforce development initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of construction experience (depending on educational background), including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience in large-scale multidisciplinary EPC projects

Education and Certifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of: Welding and fabrication practices, Construction processes and methodologies, Inspection and quality requirements, Safety regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute work from construction drawings, isometrics, and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
