Role Context

The Painter supports the hotel 's engineering and property maintenance operation by protecting and restoring painted, coated, and finished surfaces throughout the property. High-quality finishes contribute directly to guest perception, room presentation, asset condition, and the overall appearance of hospitality spaces. The position combines planned maintenance with responsive touch-up work. It requires careful preparation, product knowledge, visual consistency, and the ability to coordinate work around occupied guest areas, operational departments, and varying maintenance priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out painting and finishing work in guest rooms, public areas, operational spaces, and exterior locations.
• Inspect surfaces and determine the preparation method required before painting.
• Clean, sand, scrape, fill, patch, and prepare walls, ceilings, timber, and other surfaces.
• Apply primers and undercoats where required to achieve durable and even finishes.
• Mix and match paint colors accurately to maintain consistency across repaired and newly painted areas.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other appropriate equipment.
• Select suitable application methods according to surface type, location, and required finish.
• Perform touch-ups on damaged, stained, faded, or worn painted surfaces.
• Repair minor surface imperfections before repainting.
• Apply appropriate coatings to timber and other specialty surfaces.
• Carry out timber treatment work in accordance with product and property requirements.
