Responsibilities

• Carry out painting, repainting, touch-up and finishing work across guest rooms, corridors and public areas.
• Maintain painted surfaces within restaurants, banquet facilities and other high-traffic spaces.
• Support painting requirements in Front of House, Back of House and exterior resort areas.
• Prepare walls, ceilings and other surfaces by cleaning, sanding and scraping before application.
• Fill cracks, holes and minor surface defects to create a smooth base for finishing.
• Apply primers and undercoats according to surface condition and material requirements.
• Match paint colors and finishes to existing decor and approved resort standards.
• Apply decorative and specialist wall or ceiling finishes when required.
• Repair minor damage to walls, drywall, ceilings and woodwork before painting.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains and sealants using suitable brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
• Inspect completed work for coverage, finish consistency and visible defects.
• Conduct routine area checks and identify surfaces requiring preventive cosmetic attention.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders within agreed timelines.
• Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures and surrounding areas before commencing work.
• Keep work areas safe, organized and properly isolated during maintenance activities.
• Restore work areas to clean and presentable condition following completion.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office to schedule work around guest occupancy.
• Work with other departments where maintenance access may affect restaurants, rooms or public areas.
• Maintain painting tools, ladders, spray equipment and associated work materials.
• Monitor stock levels of paints, primers, solvents and finishing supplies.
• Inform supervisors when materials require replenishment.
• Store paints, chemicals and solvents safely in accordance with approved procedures.
• Follow applicable health, safety, fire and environmental requirements.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment during preparation and application activities.
• Respond to urgent cosmetic repair requests when required.
• Support other Engineering maintenance activities when assigned by the supervisor.
• Work flexible shifts, weekends, holidays or emergency callouts according to operational needs.
