Job summary

Radisson Hotel Group in Dubai seeks a skilled painter to maintain and enhance interior surfaces across the property, applying paints, primers and finishes to spec. You will work on walls, ceilings and furniture, including gypsum board, with brushes, rollers or spray equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience in UAE hospitality settings, a proactive approach, and adherence to safety standards. Accommodation, meals, medical insurance and annual leave are provided by the employer.

• Experience as a painter.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in UAE in Hospitality industry.
• Hands-on approach with a can-do work style.
• Ability to find solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, putty to walls, ceilings and furniture.
• Work on gypsum board cutting and installation.
• Use brushes, spray guns or rollers effectively.
• Maintain property colour scheme specifications.
• Apply primers or sealers to prepare surfaces for finish coats.
• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, or blasting.
• Protect surfaces and organize tools and materials.
• Follow PPE guidelines and safety training.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colours of paint, stain or varnish.
• Report accidents or injuries promptly.

Job Description

• Able to apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, putty etc. to property walls, ceilings, and furniture.
• Able to work on gypsum board (cutting, new installation)
• Able to effectively use brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Responsible for maintaining property colour scheme specifications.
• Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.
• Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
• Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
• Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
• Coordinate with the vendor to modify the colours of paint, stain, or varnish.
• Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
• Report work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
• Any other job or duties assigned by the management as and when required.
