Job summary

HMM MIDDLE EAST SHIPPING LLC is seeking an Operation Executive with shipping or logistics experience to manage detention and demurrage follow-ups, invoicing coordination, and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on long idling cases.
• Manage DET/DEM collection and invoice follow-up.
• Monitor invoicing, receipt, and deduction of line detention.
• Handle T&D guidelines related to documents/cargo release queries and clarifications.
• Manage legal and refund cases for detention, total loss, and full resale.
• Prepare notices for new or revised port/customs local regulations.
• Prepare reports to HQ for approvals (auction, disposal, detention deduction).
• Support ITSM documentation module process improvement plan.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports to RHQ and HQ (L.I/Non-Invoice/DTL/DED).
• Monitor manifests and troubleshoot related issues.

Role Summary

HMM Middle East Shipping LLC is seeking an Operation Executive with a background in shipping or logistics to manage detention and demurrage follow-ups, invoicing coordination, and documentation processes. The role involves close coordination with port and customs regulations, along with regular reporting to regional and headquarters teams.

The successful candidate will support process improvement initiatives, handle legal and refund cases related to detention, total loss, and resale, and ensure smooth manifest monitoring and troubleshooting.

Primary Duties

• Follow up on long idling cases.
• Manage DET/DEM collection and invoice follow-up.
• Monitor invoicing, receipt, and deduction of line detention.

• Manage legal and refund cases for detention, total loss, and full resale.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any field; minimum 2 years of experience in either shipping or logistics; valid attested educational certificates and equivalency certificate required.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); knowledge of the shipping cycle, container movements, and documentation processes; knowledge of port and customs procedures related to container movements, detention, demurrage, auction, and disposal.

Core Competencies: Strong verbal and written communication in English with logical reasoning; positive, self-motivated, creative, and a strong team player.
