Job summary

Halian seeks an onsite IT Support Specialist to deliver day-to-day technical assistance for end-user hardware and software at educational institutions across the UAE.

You will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, telecom and network systems, install and configure software, and document resolutions. Regular updates to end users and adherence to SLAs are required, with proactive follow-up to resolve issues promptly and professionally.

UAE driving license and own transport are essential.

Qualifications

• BSc in IT or related field
• Minimum three years in OS support and end-user troubleshooting
• Customer service oriented
• Excellent communication skills
• UAE driving license and own transport
• Extensive Office 365 experience with administration exposure if possible
• Experience with ITSM tools (Remedy, ManageEngine, ServiceDesk, Ivanti)
• Basic networking understanding

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day onsite technical support for end-user hardware and software at educational institutions across the UAE
• Support desktops, laptops, peripherals, telecom and network systems including hardware, software, OS, and connectivity
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues; document resolutions; install/configure/update end-user software
• Ensure Service Desk/end users receive regular progress updates until resolution
• Meet SLA targets for ticket requests; assess and prioritize incidents
• Take initiative to respond, resolve and follow up on customer service issues in a timely manner
