Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Civil Inspector (Infrastructure) for an on-site, full-time role. You will ensure construction works follow plans and specifications, review contractor performance, and maintain detailed daily diaries.

The ideal candidate has a civil or construction engineering degree and at least five years of road/infrastructure supervision experience, with strong reading of shop drawings and good communication skills. ADM/DMT project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in road/infrastructure construction supervision.
• Ability to read shop drawings, method statements and construction specifications.
• Fully computer literate with data recording and reporting abilities.
• ADM / DMT projects experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure construction works follow plans and specifications.
• Report failures to perform work per drawings and specs.
• Maintain a detailed diary of daily activities, issues, hours, and resources.
• Interface with the public and stakeholders to mitigate construction impacts.
• Coordinate with contractor site engineers on execution.
• Coordinate with inspectors to arrange sampling and QA testing.
• Coordinate with Surveyors to check line and grade conformity.
• Report questionable methods and contractor failures.
• Process Inspection Requests and maintain status records.
• Maintain Day Works records for contractor activities.
• Participate in health and safety on site.
• Maintain professional conduct with contractor.
