Job summary

Parsons is hiring a Civil Inspector in Abu Dhabi, UAE to oversee daily operations and maintenance activities performed by O and M contractors across civil infrastructure and landscape assets. The role involves field inspections, testing, verification, and reporting to the Resident Engineer.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Civil Engineering, UAE experience, and at least four years' inspection experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering from a recognized university.
• UAE Ministry of Education equivalency certificate is mandatory.
• Minimum 4 years of experience inspecting O and M infrastructure or landscape projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, tests, evaluations, verifications, and documentation covering contractor operations and maintenance activities.
• Inspect preventive and corrective maintenance across civil systems, including roads, roadway signage, beach maintenance and cleaning, security gates and logistics, plant nursery maintenance, pedestrian bridges, and closed canals.
• Support landscape, electrical, and mechanical inspectors with civil-related inspection activities at site.
• Oversee routine daily operations and maintenance work performed by O and M contractors and identify defects, issues, or additional work requirements.
• Verify that civil and structural construction, operations, and maintenance activities comply with approved plans and specifications.
• Coordinate daily with the contractor responsible for the work to monitor performance and proper execution.
