Job summary

Black & Grey HR seeks a Payroll Officer to join our client in Abu Dhabi’s oil & gas sector. You will process payroll for base staff, offshore teams, and freelance populations, ensuring accurate inputs and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include validating timesheets, preparing outputs for review, and maintaining compliant payroll records while safeguarding confidentiality under strict deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years payroll processing experience, preferably in oil & gas, offshore, or other complex workforce environments.
  • Experience handling timesheet-based payroll, WPS, bank files, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and process payroll inputs within defined cut-off timelines.
  • Process salaries, allowances, deductions, promotions, salary revisions, new joiners, and leavers.
  • Validate offshore timesheets and process timesheet-driven and freelance payroll.
  • Prepare payroll outputs, bank/WPS files, and supporting schedules for review and authorization.
  • Support retroactive corrections, payroll reconciliations, and GL-related documentation.
  • Respond to routine employee payroll queries and elevate complex or sensitive matters.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, change logs, working papers, and audit documentation.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with payroll policies and retention requirements.
