Administer shipment-level activities including receipt of customer booking, documentation requirements, and related local and international transport.
Act as the customer first point of contact for shipment information, exception/complaint management and claims.
Support shipment routing and assignment to ensure customer service commitments align with service promises and profitability, and prepare accurate invoices and supporting documentation.
Execute necessary regulatory compliance procedures relating to commodities and locations for shipments.
Maintain close business relationships with existing clients, identify potential upsell opportunities and achieve customer retention.
Study and resolve day-to-day delivery issues and contribute to best practices for Ocean Freight Operations focusing on efficiency with the transportation management system.
Support performance monitoring of suppliers and propose corrective actions.
