Job summary

Dubai-based entertainment, retail and trading company seeks a Senior Accountant with NetSuite experience to independently manage the full accounting cycle and lead junior accountants. You will report to the owners and ensure accurate financial statements and compliance.

The role covers end-to-end bookkeeping, month-end close, VAT filings, tax compliance, and coordination with external auditors. Immediate joiners preferred, UAE-based candidates.

Qualifications

• 5 to 12 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Proven experience handling full accounts independently up to financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite is mandatory.
• Good working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience in trading, distribution or retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete accounting function independently end to end.
• Lead, guide and review work of junior accountants.
• Handle day-to-day accounting, journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Complete month-end closing, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and ensure Corporate Tax compliance.
• Oversee inventory control, stock reconciliations and costing of imported goods with landed cost.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, MIS and ad hoc reports for owners.
• Coordinate directly with external auditors and complete audits.

Hiring NetSuite Experience Mandatory Senior Accountant or Management Accountant in Dubai, UAE for immediate joiners. A privately owned entertainment, retail and trading company in Dubai distributing imported brands is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage complete accounts and lead junior accountants. The Senior Accountant reports directly to the owners and is fully responsible for accounting functions from daily bookkeeping to financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete accounting function independently end to end.
• Lead, guide and review work of junior accountants.
• Handle day-to-day accounting, journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Complete month-end closing, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable including foreign currency supplier payments.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and ensure Corporate Tax compliance.
• Oversee inventory control, stock reconciliations and costing of imported goods with landed cost.
• Track project costing for installation jobs.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, MIS and ad hoc reports for owners.
• Coordinate directly with external auditors and complete audits.
• Set up and maintain proper accounting procedures and internal controls.

Requirements

• 5 to 12 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Proven experience handling full accounts independently up to financial statements.
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance or professional qualification such as CA, CMA or ACCA fully qualified.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite is mandatory.
• Good working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Experience in trading, distribution or retail preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.
