Job summary

BAYAN MEDICAL COMPANY is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant in Dubai to manage financial reporting, GL, and audits.

You will ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, oversee month-end close, budgets, and tax filings, while driving process improvements and cost control across the organization. 5-7 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in UAE, proficiency in advanced Excel and Dynamics.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA certification is mandatory.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in UAE.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and familiarity with Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
• Ensure reports comply with GAAP/IFRS and internal policies.
• Oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, payables, receivables.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and assist audits (internal/external).
• Monitor costs and identify improvements or savings opportunities.
• Prepare and file tax returns; stay updated on UAE tax regulations.
• Evaluate accounting processes and implement improvements.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure that financial reports are accurate, timely, and in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
• Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
• Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and other financial regulations.
• Monitor and analyze costs, identifying areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations and stay updated on changes to tax laws that might impact the organization.
• Evaluate accounting processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certification: CPA or CA is mandatory.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
