Job summary

HEDES OFFICIAL in Dubai seeks a Senior Accountant to lead full-cycle corporate accounting, deliver IFRS financial reporting, and ensure UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance. You will manage general ledger, month-end close, and financial statements while coordinating with auditors and authorities.

Responsibilities include budgeting, cash flow analysis, and payroll accounting under WPS, with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience in UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS and local regulations.
• Full-cycle corporate accounting experience including general ledger, closes, and reporting.
• Experience with UAE payroll regulations (WPS) and end-of-service calculations.
• Experience with audit coordination and regulatory compliance.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills; knowledge of Odoo ERP is preferred.
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
• High attention to detail and confidentiality.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and financial management, with a thorough understanding of UAE taxation, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and coordinate Corporate Tax filings.
• Monitor cash flow, operating expenses, supplier payments, and customer collections.
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, variance analyses, and management reports.
• Handle payroll accounting, WPS requirements, and employee end-of-service benefit calculations.
• Review invoices, payment requests, financial transactions, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and relevant authorities.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain effective internal financial controls.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and transaction recording within accounting and ERP systems.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional accounting experience.
• Previous accounting experience in the UAE is preferred.
• Proven experience independently managing full-cycle corporate accounting operations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS, and applicable financial regulations.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial closing procedures.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of UAE payroll regulations, WPS, and end-of-service benefit calculations.
• Experience in audit coordination, regulatory compliance, and internal financial controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with Odoo ERP is preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are an advantage.
