Hiring: Management Accountant / Cost Accountant | Oracle Net Suite Experience Mandatory / Dubai

Dubai, UAE | Full-time | AED 8,000 – 12,000 per month (based on experience)

A well-established, privately owned group in Dubai is looking for a Management Accountant / Cost Accountant to strengthen its finance function. The group works in entertainment, retail and trading, and distributes several imported brands. The role suits a cost-focused accountant who can turn numbers into clear insight for the owners and who has a strong command of day-to-day accounts.

The position reports directly to the owners and oversees a small team of junior accountants. It offers real visibility, ownership and long-term career growth within the group.

What the Role Involves

Costing and Management Reporting

• Build and maintain product costing, including landed cost of imported goods (freight, duty and clearing)
• Analyse gross margins by brand, product line, store and channel
• Track the cost and profitability of installation projects
• Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts, and explain budget-vs-actual variances
• Deliver monthly management accounts, MIS dashboards, KPI reports and decision-support analysis

Accounting and Compliance

• Run the full accounting cycle through to the financial statements
• Close the books each month, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee payables, receivables, foreign currency supplier payments and bank reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow and working capital
• Prepare UAE VAT returns and support Corporate Tax compliance
• Manage the year-end audit with the external auditors

Inventory and Controls

• Supervise stock valuation, stock counts and inventory reconciliations
• Strengthen costing controls, accounting procedures and internal controls

Team

• Supervise, train and review the work of the junior accountants

Who Should Apply

• 5–10 years in accounting, including at least 3 years in the UAE
• Solid background in cost accounting or management accounting, ideally in trading, distribution or retail
• Experience running a company’s accounts independently
• CMA, CIMA, ACCA or CA qualified, or a Master’s in Accounting or Finance
• Oracle NetSuite experience (mandatory)
• Good knowledge of costing methods, inventory valuation and budgeting
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
• Clear communicator who can present numbers to business owners
