Job summary

Planet Telecom in Dubai seeks an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting using NetSuite ERP, process payments and receipts, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain ledgers with attention to detail.

The role requires UAE experience, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams on balances and postings. Strong accuracy and accounting fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system.
• Previous accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of payment/receipt entries, bank reconciliation, and general accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions using NetSuite ERP.
• Prepare and process payment entries and receipt entries.
• Perform bank reconciliation and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
• Maintain general accounting records, ledgers, and supporting documents.
• Record customer receipts and supplier payments in the ERP system.
• Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and follow up on discrepancies.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Verify invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents.
• Support month-end closing and preparation of accounting reports.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of financial records.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding payments, receipts, and outstanding balances.
