This position is restricted to UAE Nationals; you will build a robust merchant portfolio, conduct visits, negotiate terms, ensure compliant onboarding, and educate partners on risk and payment best practices. A strong sales background is essential.

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Merchant Relationship Manager / Executive to join a leading financial services organization in Dubai.

This opportunity is exclusively for Nationals who are passionate about Sales, Business Development, Merchant Acquiring, Payments, and Relationship Management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new merchant partners, managing existing merchant relationships, increasing card acceptance, and driving business growth across the market.

Key Responsibilities

Merchant Acquisition & Business Development

• Identify, approach, and onboard new merchants across various industries.
• Develop new business opportunities and expand merchant acceptance across the market.
• Conduct sales presentations, negotiate commercial terms, and close merchant agreements.
• Build a strong pipeline of potential merchant partners, including strategic accounts, retail, online, and B2B businesses.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new merchant partners.
• Manage merchant portfolios to improve satisfaction, retention, and business performance.
• Conduct regular merchant visits and business reviews to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop strategies to increase card usage, transaction volumes, and merchant profitability.

Sales Performance & Business Growth

• Achieve assigned sales targets, merchant signings, and business growth objectives.
• Monitor merchant performance and identify opportunities to increase transaction activity.
• Reactivate inactive merchants and support retention of existing accounts.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and merchant performance.
• Support merchants with onboarding, card acceptance procedures, and payment-related inquiries.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve merchant concerns and operational issues.
• Educate merchants on fraud prevention, chargebacks, and payment acceptance best practices.
• Ensure compliance with merchant onboarding, KYC, and internal risk requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience in Sales, Business Development, Relationship Management, Merchant Acquiring, Payments, Banking, or Financial Services.
• For Manager-level candidates, preferably 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in merchant acquisition, account management, or managing business portfolios is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of the country's business market and customer relationship management.
• Ability to develop new business opportunities and achieve sales targets.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
