Job summary

Confidential (leading MEP contracting company) in the UAE is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman to deliver detailed shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. You will coordinate with architecture, structure and electrical teams to ensure accurate IFC and as-built drawings.

The role requires 3–5 years in MEP contracting, strong AutoCAD skills, and knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI or certificate in Mechanical Drafting or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in MEP contracting or construction.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit MEP/BIM is an advantage.
• UAE/GCC project experience preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Develop HVAC drawings, including ductwork, chilled water piping, equipment layouts, and ventilation systems.
• Prepare plumbing and firefighting drawings as required.
• Coordinate mechanical services with architectural, structural, and electrical drawings.
• Review IFC/design drawings and incorporate consultant comments.
• Prepare drawings for consultant and client submissions.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to support installation requirements.
• Prepare accurate as-built drawings based on completed site installations.
• Identify and resolve MEP coordination and clash issues.
• Maintain drawing revisions and submission records.
