Job summary

Smart Bim Technical Services L.L.C is seeking a Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Draftsman with 5+ years of UAE experience in MEP contracting or engineering consultancy. The candidate should be proficient in CAD/AutoCAD and familiar with DEWA, DM, DCD, DDA rules and e-submission formats.

You will create detailed MEP shop drawings and coordinate across all MEP disciplines. Experience with AutoCAD is essential, and knowledge of Revit MEP is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in MEP drafting for UAE facilities or high-rise buildings.
• Strong AutoCAD/DWG skills and familiarity with CAD tools.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (DEWA, DM, DCD, DDA) and e-submission formats.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, lighting layouts, power containment, ELV systems, and SLDs.
• Prepare electrical rooms, LV rooms and trench layouts.
• Create DEWA submittal packages including TCL schedules, MD calculations, and schematic layouts per DEWA standards.
• Conduct spatial clash-detection and coordination across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural layouts.
• Update drawings based on site modifications and engineer feedback to produce accurate As-Built submissions.
• Prepare HVAC shop drawings, ducting layouts, piping, equipment details and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural drawings; coordinate with FM teams and site teams.
• Prepare plumbing drawings for domestic water supply, drainage, and related systems; ensure coordination with other disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations and company drafting standards.

The candidate will be responsible for creatingdetailed MEP shop drawings and coordinating seamlessly across all MEPdisciplines.

Electrical KeyResponsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical shopdrawings, lighting layouts, power containment, ELV systems, and Single LineDiagrams (SLD).
• Preparing Electrical rooms, LVrooms and detail trench layout
• Prepare complete DEWA submittalpackages including Total Connected Load (TCL) schedules, Maximum Demand (MD)calculations, and schematic layouts strictly matching DEWA standards.
• Conduct spatial clash-detectionand trade coordination between electrical, mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, andstructural layouts.
• Revise and update drawingsaccording to site modifications and engineer feedback to create accurateAs-Built submissions.

HVAC/Mechanical Key Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC shop drawings,ductinglayouts, chilled water piping, equipment details and as-built drawings.
• Prepare Coordinate MEP serviceswith architectural and structural drawings.
• Prepare detail coordinationdrawings and builder’s work. Coordinate with Engineers, Consultants, FM teams,and Site teams.
• Revise drawings based onconsultant comments, site requirements, and design changes.

Plumbing Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed plumbing anddrainage shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop layouts for domestic watersupply, drainage, stormwater, sewage, irrigation, and hot & cold-watersystems and as-built drawings.
• Prepare coordination drawings,builders' work drawings, sleeve drawings, riser diagrams, and installationdetails.
• Coordinate plumbing drawings withHVAC, electrical, firefighting, architectural, and structural disciplines.
• Revise drawings based onconsultant comments, site requirements, and design changes.
• Ensure all drawings comply withproject specifications, local authority regulations and company draftingstandards.
