Job summary

Fatherson International FZE is seeking a skilled HVAC Draftsman to prepare detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built drawings for UAE MEP construction projects.

You will coordinate with Mechanical Engineers, BIM Coordinators and Project Managers while ensuring compliance with UAE authority requirements and project standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP is required, with experience in residential, commercial and high-rise projects.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and UAE authority requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Experience on residential, commercial and high-rise buildings.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, Dubai Municipality and DEWA standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC shop drawings, layout drawings and installation drawings.
• Develop ducting layouts, chilled water piping, ventilation, exhaust, fresh air and smoke extraction drawings.
• Prepare HVAC coordination drawings with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and ELV services.
• Review IFC drawings and prepare shop drawings per project specs.
• Update drawings based on consultant comments, RFIs and site modifications.
• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers, BIM Coordinators, Site Engineers and Project Managers.
• Ensure drawings comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, Dubai Municipality, DEWA and project standards.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and support BIM coordination.
• Maintain drawing revisions, document control and submission records.
• Assist the site team with technical drawing clarifications and material take-offs (MTO).
