Job summary

Nexus People seeks an experienced MEP Design Manager in Dubai to lead multidisciplinary design efforts for high-rise and luxury UAE projects. You will drive technical quality, coordinate with architectural, structural, and BIM teams, and provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in MEP design, strong UAE experience, and proven leadership. You will ensure compliance with UAE codes and authority requirements while guiding design delivery and client

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced MEP Design Manager to lead and oversee multidisciplinary MEP design activities for major and complex building projects in the UAE The successful candidate will be responsible for managing design teams ensuring technical quality and compliance coordinating with multiple disciplines and stakeholders and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage multidisciplinary MEP design teams resources and technical delivery Review and approve MEP designs calculations drawings specifications and technical submissions Ensure all designs comply with UAE codes regulations standards and authority requirements Coordinate MEP design with Architectural Structural BIM and other project disciplines Manage design programs deliverables quality and overall technical performance Lead technical coordination with clients developers contractors consultants and relevant authorities Provide technical support during construction including reviewing shop drawings RFIs technical queries and design changes Support value engineering tendering technical proposals and business development activities Mentor and develop engineering teams while maintaining high standards of quality accountability and technical excellence Oversee testing commissioning snagging handover and project closeout activities

Candidate Requirements

15+ years of professional MEP design experience , with at least 5 years in a managerial/senior leadership role .Strong UAE experience , preferably with a leading engineering consultancy.Proven experience delivering major high-rise residential, luxury hospitality, mixed-use, or other complex building projects .Strong consultancy-side MEP design management experience.Excellent knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, authority requirements, and approval procedures .Strong understanding of MEP design, multidisciplinary coordination, BIM, and construction practices.Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD , and relevant MEP design software.Strong leadership, communication, coordination, problem-solving, and client-management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and technical deliverables effectively.Valid Dubai Municipality Unlimited Engineer License is mandatory.Candidates currently based in Dubai/UAE are strongly preferred .EducationBachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline .Health insurance.UAE residence visa.3-month probation period.

The ideal candidate will be a senior MEP design professional with strong UAE consultancy experience , proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of successfully delivering technically complex building projects. Strong knowledge of Dubai authority requirements and an active Dubai Municipality Unlimited Engineer License are essential.
