Job summary

You will work with physicians, billing teams, and revenue cycle staff to minimize revenue loss, maintain compliance with coding standards, and generate denial trend reports for quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Records, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related healthcare field.
• CPC certification.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Review denied, rejected, and unpaid claims to identify root causes and determine corrective actions.
• Analyze medical records, coding, billing information to ensure accuracy and compliance with payer requirements.
• Correct coding, demographic, authorization, eligibility, and billing errors prior to resubmission.
• Resubmit claims accurately within payer-defined timelines to maximize reimbursement.
• Ensure diagnosis and procedure codes are assigned per ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS guidelines.
• Investigate payer denials and underpayments, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with physicians, coders, billing teams, and revenue cycle staff for documentation.
• Prepare and submit appeal requests for denied claims with clinical/financial documentation.
