Job summary

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for reviewing coding of medical cases, handling claims submission to payers, and all revenue cycle or billing tasks assigned. The role is also responsible in ensuring the accuracy of the coding in patient health records.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in medical record review to abstract information required to support accurate inpatient/Day Surgery Unit coding.
• Ability to identify documentation deficiencies and properly query providers for proper code capture.
• Superior knowledge of current DoH guidelines, regulations, and latest updates regarding medical coding, compliance and reimbursement under IR-DRG (International Refined Diagnosis Related Group) and Daycare DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) systems.
• Strong knowledge in prior-authorization process, understanding the revision requirements and should be able to communicate with payers if necessary for revision related communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or any relevant field.
• Certified medical coder with minium 2 Years of experience in DRG (Diagnosis related group) /Daycare coding from Abu Dhabi market
• Should have knowledge in Inpatient and Daycare coding and prior authorization process.
