Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience, preferably in modular construction, PODs, prefabrication, or MEP projects.
• Strong experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
• Villa/residential project experience is acceptable.
• Good knowledge of local mechanical codes, standards, and authority requirements.
• Experience with BIM coordination and multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for prefabricated/modular PODs.
• Prepare and review HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical layouts, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE codes, project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Develop detailed designs suitable for factory production, assembly, transportation, and installation.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation.
• Identify and resolve design clashes and technical issues.
• Coordinate with BIM, production, site, and project teams.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical solutions to improve constructability and efficiency.
• Support testing, inspection, and commissioning activities where required.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our PODs Factory team. The role will focus on the design, coordination, and development of mechanical systems for prefabricated/modular PODs, ensuring designs are practical, efficient, and suitable for factory production and site installation.

Experience in PODs, modular construction, or prefabrication is preferred. Candidates with strong villa/residential MEP experience will also be considered.
