Maritime Sales Executive: NVOCC & Liner Services

Job summary

Vasco Global Maritime LLC in Dubai is seeking a dynamic Sales professional to drive business development and customer acquisition for our NVOCC and Liner services in Dubai. You will identify opportunities, develop customer relationships, convert enquiries into bookings and achieve assigned sales and volume targets.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years in Shipping sales, strong communication, and the ability to work with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in Sales, Business Development or Customer Engagement within Shipping, NVOCC, Liner or Logistics.
• Good understanding of NVOCC/Liner shipping, trade lanes, ports and shipping services.
• Strong customer acquisition, lead generation and sales conversion skills.
• Ability to independently manage customer relationships and sales activities.
• Good understanding of quotations, commercial proposals and sales pipeline management.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and deliver against assigned targets.
• Postgraduate qualification in Sales, Marketing, Logistics or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Generate leads through market visits, customer meetings, calls, networking and other business development activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Understand customer shipping requirements and recommend suitable NVOCC/Liner services.
• Prepare quotations and commercial proposals based on customer requirements, trade lanes and service offerings.
• Follow up on enquiries and quotations to drive conversion into confirmed bookings.
• Achieve assigned sales, revenue and volume targets.
• Grow business from existing customers through retention and account expansion.
• Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, Finance and other internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Support timely collection of outstanding payments in coordination with the relevant teams.
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline, customer database and records of enquiries, quotations and bookings.
• Provide regular sales reports and updates on market developments, customer feedback and business opportunities.
