Job summary

Transguard Group is seeking a Manager - Planning to lead the logistics planning for our Transport Team at HQ in Dubai. The role oversees route planning and deployment for a large fleet, linking operational rosters with headcount and transport plans.

You will manage a team of analysts, own fleet technology including GPS, planning systems and Power BI, and drive reporting on planned vs. actual performance while identifying cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.

We are currently recruiting for a Manager - Planning to join our Transport Team in our HQ, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Free Zone.

Scope:

Manager-Planning - Logistics Services is responsible for overseeing the planning function within TG group, managing the route planning and execution for transport and delivery business unit. Linking the operational rosters with headcount and transport plans, the role will act as the primary planning function for the fleet of 2000 vehicles and transported HC of approximately 40k staff daily. The role oversees the team of analysts and supervisors, supporting the business with strategic planning and monthly deployment planning. The role is the primary owner of all fleet related technologies, from power BI, planning system, GPS and telematics and CRM.

• Optimise the route planning for transport of TG staff to and from work location.
• Advise on budgetary requirements and strategic initiatives to optimise efficiency, cost and on time metrics
• Produce reporting for planned versus actual, fleet, KMs and utilization against budget.
• Support the strategic optimization of accommodation allocation of TG fleet and accommodations relative to work locations.
• Manage the TMS vendors and overall SLA to ensure continuity of service to TG
• Sit on the weekly and monthly scorecard review presenting the summary and contingent actions.

Customer:

• Manage the centralized reporting hub for all BU reports
• Manage the reporting, all daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc GPS reports for driver, vehicle, and depot
• Provide the monthly BU SLA report and review the actions.
• Lead a team of analysts responsible for publishing plans and managing the route execution using the software and support the operation in generation of all BU GPS reports for driver, vehicle, and depot daily, weekly, month and all ad hoc reporting requirements.
• Oversee and proactively improve communications through systemized solutions ensuring that all customers are notified of any changes to planned outputs and, where practicable, provide mitigation plans

Process:

• Work closely with demand planning for evaluation of roster accuracy and validation
• Oversee entire business planning function including communication of plan to all stakeholders (DOC/TCC/AOC/SOC/all operational BU’s)
• Work closely with the GPS vendor to develop the reporting both within GPS system and within TG Power BI (or equivalent)
• Work closely with the fleet team to improve the servicing, planning and execution for TG own fleet.
• Business continuity planning and risk analysis
• Support the analysis and planning for HC increase/decrease to ensure fleet remains viable and cost effective
• Work closely with technology partners to create and deliver a 3-year road map incorporating appropriate modern logistics technologies, AI, advanced planning and reporting and supporting the delivery of a centralize control room
• Keep up to date of emerging opportunities for optimization and prepare business cases to assess potential value vs investment
• Engage with TG WS to ensure that GPS system is linked to the WS DMS for smooth planning.
• Support the BU in all ad hoc report requirements.
• Manage the development of the TMS system within the BU including internal and external enhancements to the systems
