Job summary

Gulftainer in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to oversee daily fleet activities, drive efficiency, and ensure strict regulatory compliance for UAE and GCC transport standards.

The role focuses on control tower leadership, real-time monitoring, and collaboration with drivers, maintenance teams, and external vendors to optimize performance and cost management.

Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in fleet management.
Strong knowledge of UAE & GCC transport regulations.
Experience in fleet operations, maintenance, and cost management.
Experience overseeing Control Tower / GPS / telematics operations is an advantage.
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily fleet operations, utilization, dispatch planning, and vehicle availability.
Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, downtime, and fleet performance.
Ensure proactive maintenance, repairs, and effective fleet lifecycle management.
Ensure compliance with UAE & GCC transport regulations, safety standards, licensing, and documentation.
Oversee the Control Tower team function, ensuring real-time fleet monitoring, trip visibility, exception management, and timely escalation of operational issues.
Coordinate with transport operations, drivers, maintenance teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
Analyse fleet and operational data to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve performance.
