Job summary

Transguard Group in Dubai is seeking an Analyst - Planning to join our Logistics Services team at HQ in DAFZA. The role focuses on route planning, execution of transport plans across business units, and deploying the Transport Management System.

You will develop GPS and TMS reporting, build Power BI dashboards, monitor real-time movements, and collaborate with drivers, depots and customer service to ensure on-time deliveries and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily transport plans, optimizing routes and schedules based on operational requirements and vehicle availability.
• Monitor real-time vehicle movements using GPS tracking systems; respond proactively to delays, route deviations, or breakdowns.
• Analyze transport data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to track KPIs such as delivery performance, vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and SLA adherence.
• Collaborate with drivers, depot teams, and customer service to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
• Maintain accurate records of transport activities including trip logs, GPS data, and maintenance schedules.

We are currently recruiting for an Analyst - Planning to join our Logistics Services team in our HQ, located in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Free Zone.

Scope

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Analyst – Planning plays a key role in supporting the Transport planning function within the Transguard group.

This role is responsible for overseeing route planning and the execution of transport plans across business units, while also providing comprehensive support for the deployment and optimization of the Transport Management System (TMS).

In addition, the Analyst will manage GPS and TMS based reporting for Business units, drivers, vehicles, and depots on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including ad hoc reporting needs. A critical part of the role includes developing GPS and TMS data into Power BI (or equivalent platforms) to ensure the transport have access to a robust and actionable of operational reports.

Responsibilities

• Cost Optimization: Efficient route planning reduces fuel consumption, overtime costs, and vehicle wear and tear.
• Resource Utilization: Maximizing vehicle and driver usage improves ROI on fleet investments.
• Penalty Avoidance: Timely deliveries help avoid SLA breach penalties and customer compensation.

• Operational Efficiency: Better planning leads to fewer delays and disruptions, reducing indirect costs like rescheduling or customer service escalations.
