Manager - Online Merchandising in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a Retail opportunity for an experienced e-commerce professional responsible for onsite trading, product discovery, category performance, campaign execution, search optimization, and conversion improvement across web and mobile platforms. Apparel Group is hiring an Online Merchandising Manager to strengthen the digital customer journey, improve product visibility, optimize commercial performance, and coordinate merchandising priorities across marketing, category, technology, analytics, and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the onsite merchandising strategy across homepage, category pages, brand pages, campaign pages, and landing pages.
  • Manage product sorting logic to ensure commercially relevant products receive appropriate visibility.
  • Optimize filters, facets, navigation, and product grouping to improve customer discovery.
  • Configure product recommendations, upsell opportunities, and cross-sell placements across key customer journeys.
  • Ensure products are classified accurately within the correct categories, subcategories, and taxonomy structures.
  • Monitor taxonomy consistency and resolve classification issues that affect search or navigation.
  • Maintain the online merchandising calendar in alignment with trading, marketing, category, and brand priorities.
  • Coordinate seasonal campaigns, product launches, promotional events, and commercial activations across the site.
  • Ensure campaign assets and product selections are launched accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance across traffic, conversion rate, Average Order Value, sales, engagement, and other commercial KPIs.
  • Identify categories, brands, products, or landing pages that are underperforming and recommend corrective merchandising actions.
  • Analyze changes in customer behavior following merchandising or promotional updates.
  • Conduct regular audits of onsite search, navigation, filters, product visibility, and customer journeys.
  • Work with Analytics teams to understand performance patterns and translate insights into merchandising actions.
  • Review campaign ROI and assess the effectiveness of banners, product placements, and promotional positions.
  • Improve product discoverability across both desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Optimize search results using product relevance, customer intent, availability, and commercial priorities.
  • Review filtering logic and identify opportunities to make browsing more intuitive.
  • Improve content placement across key digital touchpoints to support stronger customer engagement.
  • Support A/B testing for banners, navigation, sorting rules, product positioning, and other merchandising elements.
  • Review test results and implement successful approaches where they improve customer or commercial performance.
  • Coordinate with Marketing teams to align onsite presentation with campaign priorities.
  • Work with SEO teams to ensure digital merchandising supports discoverability and category relevance.
  • Partner with CRM teams to maintain consistency between customer communications and onsite promotional experiences.
  • Collaborate with Creative teams on digital assets, banners, landing pages, and campaign requirements.
  • Work closely with Category teams to prioritize products, brands, launches, and commercial opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Product and Tech teams to resolve platform issues affecting navigation, merchandising, search, or conversion.
  • Provide clear requirements for digital enhancements that improve customer experience or operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Buying and Supply Chain teams on stock-led merchandising decisions.
  • Reduce exposure of unavailable or low-stock merchandise where it negatively affects the customer journey.
  • Increase visibility of commercially important products where inventory availability supports additional demand.
  • Provide onsite merchandising input for digital marketing campaigns to ensure consistency after customers reach the platform.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with clear commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain merchandising guidelines, operating procedures, and digital best practices.
  • Verify that onsite content, product information, pricing, and promotions remain accurate.
  • Monitor promotional compliance and elevate discrepancies for immediate correction.
  • Identify site functionality issues affecting customer experience and coordinate escalation to relevant technical teams.
Ideal Profile

The preferred candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, online trading, digital retail, or a related commercial function. Strong understanding of onsite merchandising, customer journeys, product discovery, conversion optimization, and digital trading is essential. Experience within fashion, beauty, lifestyle, footwear, or multi-brand retail will be particularly relevant. Candidates should be comfortable monitoring conversion rate, Average Order Value, traffic, engagement, sales, campaign performance, and category-level results. Practical experience using Tableau, Google Analytics GA4, or similar analytics and reporting tools is expected. Familiarity with CMS platforms, online merchandising tools, search management systems, and digital product catalogues will be valuable. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong analytical thinking and the ability to convert performance data into practical merchandising actions. Excellent stakeholder management is required because the role works across Marketing, SEO, CRM, Creative, Category, Product, Technology, Supply Chain, Buying, and Analytics teams. Strong attention to detail is essential for maintaining product accuracy, promotional compliance, pricing correctness, and consistent execution across a high-volume e-commerce environment.
