Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of all plant equipment and machinery. Reporting to the COO, you will oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance, maintain spare parts inventory, coordinate vendor AMCs, and ensure full compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Develop, execute, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and annual calendars to minimize machine downtime and avoid operational disruptions.
2. Plant Machinery Overhaul: Plan and manage servicing, overhauling, and repairs for core fabrication machinery—including laser cutting, bending, lathe, drilling, welding, grinding, and cutting machines, as well as utility equipment.
3. Spare Parts Management: Maintain accurate spare parts inventory, determine min/max stock levels, prepare a 2-year spare-parts requirement plan, and collaborate with Purchase/Stores for timely procurement.
4. Records & QMS Compliance: Maintain complete machine-wise maintenance histories, log breakdowns, and ensure all documentation, checklists, and registers meet company QMS procedures and audit standards.
5. Vendor & AMC Management: Supervise external service providers and Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) vendors, monitor contract execution, and review service reports.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with production, purchase, stores, and external service providers to schedule routine downtime, track planned vs. completed tasks, and resolve technical issues.

Mandatory Requirements

1. Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.
2. Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in plant/machinery maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
3. Maintenance Expertise: Hands-on experience with both preventive and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
4. Planning & Spare Parts Management: Proven knowledge of maintenance planning, spare-parts inventory management, and maintenance documentation.
5. QMS Familiarity: Demonstrated familiarity with QMS requirements and maintenance-related compliance/documentation.
6. Skills & Coordination: Strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to coordinate effectively with production, purchase, stores, and external service providers.
7. Mobility & Flexibility: Full willingness and adaptability to work across multiple UAE sites (JAFZA, DIP, and Abu Dhabi).
