Job summary

Al Alamia Veterinary Medicine Manufacturer seeks an experienced Machine Maintenance specialist to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment in a GMP environment. You will troubleshoot electrical control and automation faults to minimize downtime and upgrade control systems for compliance.

Responsibilities include reading electrical drawings, updating IO lists, backing up PLC/HMI programs, and maintaining logs, work orders, and GMP records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a factory (pharma, food or chemical preferred).
• Strong hands-on PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and control panels.
• Ability to read and work from electrical drawings; good written and spoken English.

• Read, design, and update electrical drawings, IO lists and wiring diagrams.
• Back up and manage PLC/HMI programs with proper version control.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders and breakdown records to GMP standards.
• Coordinate calibration of instruments and support GMP audits and inspections.

Machine Maintenance

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines Troubleshoot electrical control and automation faults quickly to minimize downtime Maintain motors VFDs servo drives sensors pneumatic components and control panels Plan and track the preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment PLC HMI Automation

Program

modify and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs

Upgrade and improve machine control systems for GMP compliance

alarms user access levels audit trails and batch data Design read and update electrical drawings I O lists and wiring diagrams Back up and manage PLC HMI programs with proper version control Utilities

Utilities

Maintain plant utilities

Monitor utility performance and respond promptly to alarms and breakdowns

GMP Qualification Support equipment qualification and change control for new or modified machines Coordinate calibration of instruments and sensors as advised by the Quality department Maintain maintenance logbooks work orders and breakdown records to GMP standards Support GMP PIC S audits and inspections

Spare Parts

Manage critical spare parts and raise purchase requests for parts and services Coordinate with machine suppliers and contractors Apply electrical safety rules lockout tagout LOTO and safe work permits

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a factory (pharmaceutical, food, or chemical preferred)
