Job summary

Agile Consultants is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a white cement plant in Fujairah. The role focuses on supporting operation, maintenance, and optimisation of mechanical equipment with hands-on maintenance and monitoring. 3–5 years in cement maintenance is preferred.

You will troubleshoot, plan maintenance, supervise technicians, and ensure minimal downtime while coordinating with production teams to sustain continuous plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant mechanical maintenance experience in the cement manufacturing industry.
• Practical maintenance knowledge of cement plant equipment including raw mills, kilns, cement mills, conveyors, and fans.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
• Experience supervising or coordinating mechanical technicians and fitters.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with maintenance and production teams to support uninterrupted cement plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of mechanical technicians and fitters.
• Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment including raw mills, kilns, cement mills, conveyors, and fans.
• Participate in root cause analysis of mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Contribute to installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise breakdowns and improve reliability.
• Perform daily maintenance planning and identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
• Conduct hands-on troubleshooting to resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain records of equipment performance, breakdowns, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare daily reports on maintenance operations for senior engineers.
• Maintain inspection checklists, lubrication records, and maintenance documentation.
• Monitor maintenance performance indicators like MTBF and PM compliance.
