Job summary

One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai is seeking a Host to welcome VIP guests, manage check-ins and provide personalised service from arrival to departure. The role requires 1–2 years in upscale luxury hospitality, with strong customer service, reservations background and excellent English communications.

Opera system experience and Middle East/GCC familiarity are advantages. Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, you will coordinate with multiple departments to deliver memorable experiences,

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in upscale luxury hospitality.
• Reservations background with guest-facing roles preferred.
• Excellent spoken and written English; another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist VIP guests with check-in, escorting, concierge requests and guest orientation.
• Note VIP arrivals at shift start and ensure special requests are fulfilled.
• Greet VIP arrivals warmly per standard procedures and manage daily arrival lists.
• Follow Service Standard Policies and communicate briefs from the Manager.
• Attend shift briefings and submit daily arrival lists with remarks.
• Inform team and Manager of any special requests or comments.
• Maintain knowledge of attractions, resort activities and layout for guest directions.
• Recognize guests celebrating special occasions and coordinate related actions.
• Update guest profiles in Opera and attach passport copies to registrations.
• Ensure registration cards are filed at shift end and organize VIP amenities.
• Make courtesy calls to check guest satisfaction and escalate issues as needed.
• Keep resort collaterals stocked and coordinate with Marketing for updates.
• Ensure magazines/newspapers are placed as instructed.
• Allocate rooms per guest requests and coordinate with housekeeping.
• Communicate airport arrival times to Team Leaders and Managers.
• Arrange guest transport as required and stay flexible with hours.
