Job summary

Al Zorah Beach Resort in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an Events & Catering Sales Manager to grow the resort’s events business, focusing on corporate events, MICE, weddings and social celebrations. You will develop client partnerships, manage inquiries, proposals, site inspections and contracts, and collaborate with Culinary, F&B and Operations to ensure flawless execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Events, Catering or MICE Sales within luxury hospitality.
• Proven success in developing new business and achieving revenue targets.
• Established relationships within the UAE corporate, events or wedding markets.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and understanding of event profitability.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to contract confirmation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic, Russian or other languages are an advantage.
• Previous experience with an international luxury hotel brand is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow the resort’s events and catering businesses across corporate, MICE, weddings and social segments.
• Identify new business opportunities through proactive sales activities, networking, and market engagement.
• Build lasting relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding specialists, DMCs and key industry partners.
• Manage client enquiries, proposals, site inspections and contract negotiations to secure profitable business.
• Develop tailored event proposals that reflect client expectations, the resort’s positioning and commercial objectives.
• Achieve individual sales targets while maximizing event revenue, average spend and repeat business.
• Work closely with Culinary, Food & Beverage and Events Operations to ensure a seamless transition from sales to execution.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, account records, and business forecasts.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to strengthen the resort’s competitive positioning.
• Contribute to commercial planning, promotional initiatives and preparations for the resort’s future opening.
