Job summary

Al Tayer Group's luxury retail café in Dubai is seeking a Line Cook to support daily kitchen operations, preparing and cooking items to approved recipes, and ensuring presentation quality. You will work under the Kitchen Supervisor with a focus on precision, cleanliness, and teamwork to deliver elevated guest experiences.

The role requires 4+ years in line cook or similar, high school diploma, culinary training a plus, ability to work weekends and varied shifts, strict adherence to food safety

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Food safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Culinary training is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in line with approved recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure consistent taste, quality, and plating across all dishes.
• Maintain a clean, organised workstation at all times.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Ensure correct food storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO).
• Participate in daily cleaning schedules and end-of-shift procedures.
• Support prep work, inventory checks, and stock organisation as required.
• Work with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Communicate clearly during service to support efficient order flow and minimise delays.
• Use kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Minimise food waste by portion control and preparation guidelines.
• Monitor food quality during service and flag issues proactively.
• Support other kitchen sections during peak service periods as required.
• Adapt quickly to changing service demands while maintaining quality standards.
