Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, seeks a Waiter/ess for our Chinese restaurant to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will take and relay orders, liaise with kitchen and bar, and ensure service standards are met from guest arrival to departure.

Based in a luxury hotel environment, you will work within our RB&E team, support dietary requests, upsell thoughtfully, and maintain a polished, guest-centric presence across shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospitality or hotel management qualification is a plus.
• Experience in luxury hospitality is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of the Chinese menu, ingredients, preparation methods and pairings.
• Take orders accurately and communicate with kitchen/bar staff to ensure timely delivery.
• Address dietary requests and allergies professionally and inform relevant colleagues.
• Provide attentive, personalized service; upsell services and products to enhance revenue.
• Operate the POS system for orders, billing, and table management.
