Job Description / Role
To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor, to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.
You are expected to be flexible to work in different shifts and to do overtime when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the overall, daily management of operational duties, including deputizing for the Shift Manager.
- Prioritize and continually improve the safety at the delivery station.
- Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to ensure that every shipment is delivered meeting and exceeding the set operational KPIs.
- Monitor the coordinator and associate performance and coaching them when needed.
- Partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations.
- Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise the bar on quality on their deliverables.
- Interview candidates for associate roles.
- Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all administrative tasks are accurately and fully completed.
- Measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending and reporting on site performance.
- Train and mentor new Associates, ensuring that they are provided with the knowledge needed to successfully carry out their tasks.
- Follow-up on and resolve any process-related issues.
- Sufficiently resource the function, including call-outs for training needs, absence and performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
- Ensure SOPs are followed for the different process carried out day-to-day in their shift.
- Highlight any deviation from SOP or safety standards.
- Own the Operational KPIs that they are responsible to maintain at agreed thresholds.
- Manage a team of UTR Associates and drive their performance up to the standards.
- Uphold the highest standards on Safety on the floor for all stakeholders involved.
