Job Purpose
The Logistics Administrator is responsible for coordinating and administering shipment, transportation, and delivery operations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled according to agreed terms, company policies, procedures, and operational standards. The role involves coordinating with shipping lines, transport companies, freight forwarders, production teams, and logistics service providers to ensure shipments are completed on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment & Logistics Operations
- Coordinate daily shipment and transportation activities to support timely delivery of customer orders.
- Allocate logistics operations to the appropriate vessel, shipping line, transporter, or logistics service provider based on approved schedules and requirements.
- Enter and maintain shipment schedules and operational information accurately in the company system.
- Coordinate with Production Scheduling, Container Freight Stations (CFS), shipping lines, transporters, and freight forwarders to ensure shipments are completed according to agreed timelines.
- Communicate with shipping lines, transport companies, and freight forwarding partners regarding shipment and delivery status.
- Track shipments and deliveries from dispatch through final completion.
- Update shipment and delivery information accurately in the relevant systems.
- Confirm completed deliveries and maintain appropriate logistics records.
- Complete administrative tasks and documentation related to shipping, transportation, and logistics operations.
- Monitor assigned tasks and shipment progress closely and identify potential delays or operational issues.
- Escalate shipment delays, delivery problems, or other logistics-related issues to the supervisor or line manager for timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of shipment schedules, transportation activities, delivery status, and related administrative information.

- Ensure logistics and transportation activities are carried out in accordance with established company procedures and controls.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other logistics, shipping, transportation, and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor or line manager.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments and external logistics partners to support smooth shipment operations.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in export shipping and logistics.
- Experience in shipment coordination, transportation administration, delivery tracking, or freight forwarding is advantageous.
- Familiarity with shipping lines, transporters, and freight forwarding processes is preferred.
