Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers.
• Determine presentation and decorative food displays; ensure proper portions and garnishes.
• Inform staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items; prepare substitutes as needed.
• Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks and provide needed items.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety and quality; monitor stock of supplies.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching employees.
