Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE to lead site supervision for a major civil infrastructure project including bridges, tunnels, roads, and utilities. You will provide technical and managerial leadership across construction supervision, contractor performance, multidisciplinary coordination, QA/QC, HSE, progress monitoring, testing, inspections, and handover.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive field experience, and the ability to manage contractor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong experience in bridge, tunnel, road, and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in construction site supervision and management.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and contractual requirements.
• UAE or GCC infrastructure project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site supervision team and oversee day-to-day construction activities across the project.
• Supervise bridge, tunnel, road, utility, and associated infrastructure construction works.
• Verify construction activities align with drawings, specifications, method statements, and contracts.
• Coordinate with contractor, client, authorities, and other stakeholders for project execution.
• Monitor progress, programme, resources, and overall construction performance.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, and submittals.
• Oversee QA/QC procedures, inspections, and quality control.
• Identify and resolve technical, construction, interface, and coordination issues promptly.
• Lead site meetings, progress reviews, and technical coordination sessions.
• Monitor quality, HSE compliance, progress, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, utility, road, and other works.
• Review completed construction and verify testing, inspections, records, and handover.
• Provide technical and managerial support to the Project Manager.
