Job summary

KBR is seeking a Lead Technical HSE Engineer for an offshore subsea project in Abu Dhabi. The role provides technical HSE leadership across concept through operations, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international regulations.

You will lead risk assessments, safety studies, and environmental management, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Regulators to embed a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; safety-related master’s degree is an advantage.
• Professional HSE certifications are highly desirable.
• At least 15 years of HSE engineering experience in oil & gas, with 5+ years in lead roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE engineering activities across project development and execution phases.
• Develop HSE philosophies, strategies and safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE standards and UAE regulations.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams on safety and environment.
• Support Concept, FEED, EPC, brownfield modifications and operations safety.
• Mentor junior HSE staff and coordinate with stakeholders.
