Job summary

KBR is seeking a Lead Technical Safety Engineer (Offshore) based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role leads process safety engineering activities across onshore and offshore oil & gas projects, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams to ensure safe design and execution.

Preference is given to candidates with OPITO T-BOSIET/H2S and readiness to travel for site surveys and brownfield assessments. The position requires strong knowledge of international codes, safety studies, and hazard analysis, with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
Experience with ADNOC offshore / PMC / Client representation is preferred.
Knowledge of international standards (API, IEC, ISA, NFPA) and safety engineering software.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and oversee all Technical Safety Engineer activities across the full project lifecycle (concept to commissioning).
Coordinate safety tasks; organize workshops (PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA).
Review third-party safety studies (QRA, FERA, F&G mapping) and ensure regulatory compliance.
Provide technical leadership to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective TSE solutions.
Ensure integration with other disciplines and maintain quality on deliverables.
