• Oversee the entire laundry process including sorting, washing, drying, ironing and folding to meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Monitor and report on the maintenance of all laundry equipment to engineering for timely repairs.
• Conduct regular quality checks on linens and uniforms before distribution to ensure company standards.
• Monitor stock levels of detergents and supplies and manage storage and usage.
• Coordinate guest laundry, dry cleaning and pressing services, ensuring timely delivery and handling special requests.
• Implement eco-friendly practices to reduce water and energy usage and chemical waste.
• Ensure hygiene, safety and infection-control standards are followed in all laundry processes.
• Provide training to attendants on proper operation, safety protocols and guest service excellence.
• Collaborate with housekeeping to ensure smooth linen distribution and cross-department coordination.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, equipment maintenance logs and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision

Lead and coordinate the activities of laundry attendants to ensure efficient operation and high-quality service

Laundry Operations

Oversee the entire laundry process including sorting washing drying ironing and folding ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation

Equipment Maintenance

Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of all laundry equipment reporting any maintenance issues to the engineering team for timely repair

Quality Control

Conduct regular checks to ensure linens uniforms and guest laundry meet company quality standards before distribution

Inventory amp Stock Control

Monitor and manage stock levels of detergents chemicals and laundry supplies ensuring proper storage and usage

Guest amp Internal Services

Coordinate guest laundry dry cleaning and pressing services ensuring timely delivery and handling of special requests

Sustainability amp Waste Management

Implement eco-friendly practices by optimizing water and energy consumption reducing chemical waste and promoting sustainable cleaning solutions

Safety amp Hygiene Compliance

Ensure all laundry processes comply with hygiene safety and infection control standards including the proper handling of soiled and contaminated linens

Training amp Development

Provide training to laundry attendants on best practices machine operation safety protocols and guest service excellence

Collaboration

Work closely with the housekeeping uniform and linen departments to ensure smooth operations and timely linen distribution

Report amp Documentation

Maintain accurate records of laundry operations including equipment maintenance logs inventory levels and performance reports

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or certification in hospitality or textile management is a plus.

Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a hotel or commercial laundry operation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of laundry chemicals, fabric care, and machine operation.

Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and quality standards.
