Job summary

Rixos Al Mairid is seeking a highly organized Laundry Supervisor to oversee daily operations, manage a team of attendants, and ensure top hygiene and quality standards. You will lead laundry processes from sorting to distribution and coordinate with housekeeping to meet guest expectations.

The role requires 2–4 years in hotel laundry with at least 1 year in a supervisory position, strong leadership, and a focus on safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or certification in hospitality or textile management is a plus.
• Experience: 2-4 years in hotel or commercial laundry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Technical: Knowledge of laundry chemicals, fabric care, and machine operation.
• Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to Detail: Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written coordination with multiple departments.
• Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges while maintaining service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate laundry attendants to ensure efficient operation and high-quality service.
• Oversee sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding to meet hygiene and presentation standards.
• Monitor equipment and report maintenance issues for timely repair.
• Inspect linens and uniforms for quality before distribution.
• Manage stock levels of detergents and supplies; ensure proper storage and usage.
• Coordinate guest and internal laundry services and special requests.
• Promote eco-friendly practices by optimizing water and energy use.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and infection control standards.
• Provide training on best practices, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, uniform, and linen departments to ensure smooth operations.
