Responsibilities include operating laundry equipment, inspecting items, treating stains, and coordinating with housekeeping to ensure a steady flow of clean textiles throughout the property. Candidates should be physically capable and detail-oriented.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in laundry, housekeeping, or hospitality is a plus.
• Familiar with commercial laundry equipment and stain removal.
• Must stand for long hours and lift heavy loads.
• Ensure hygiene and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Laundry Operations: Operate washers, dryers and ironing equipment to clean linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Sorting & Inspection: Sort laundry by fabric type and color, inspect items for stains or damages.
• Stain Removal: Treat stains and ensure proper washing techniques are used.
• Folding & Organization: Fold and organize clean linens, towels, and uniforms for distribution.
• Guest Laundry Service: Handle guest laundry requests with timely pickup, washing, ironing, and return.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor linen inventory and report shortages or damages.

Rixos Al Mairid is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our Laundry team. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the washing, drying, ironing, and folding of linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry while ensuring high hygiene and quality standards. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of all textiles used throughout the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Laundry Operations: Operate washers, dryers, and ironing equipment to clean and maintain hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Sorting & Inspection: Sort laundry by fabric type and color, inspecting items for stains, damages, or special cleaning requirements.
• Stain Removal: Treat stains and ensure proper washing techniques are applied to maintain fabric quality.
• Folding & Organization: Fold, stack, and organize clean linens, towels, and uniforms efficiently for distribution.
• Guest Laundry Service: Handle guest laundry requests, ensuring timely pickup, washing, ironing, and return of items while following special instructions.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor linen and uniform inventory, reporting shortages or damages to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Machine Maintenance: Ensure laundry machines and equipment are in proper working condition. Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
• Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Follow proper hygiene, safety, and handling procedures for chemicals and laundry equipment. Ensure compliance with hotel sanitation standards.
• Lost & Found: Follow hotel protocols for handling lost and found items discovered in laundry.
• Collaboration: Work closely with housekeeping and other departments to ensure a seamless flow of clean linens and uniforms.
• Sustainability & Waste Management: Follow eco-friendly laundry practices, minimize water and detergent waste, and support the hotel's sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a laundry operation, housekeeping, or hospitality role is an advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial laundry machines, detergents, and stain removal techniques.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect laundry for stains, damages, and quality control.
