Job summary

A Fertilizer Trader position in Dubai seeks a candidate with 5–10 years of physical fertilizer trading experience and a proven LATAM track record. You will manage a LATAM portfolio, identify opportunities, and negotiate profitable trades.

Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Expect regular travel to meet clients and participate in industry events as part of representing Ampersand World SA in the region.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in physical fertilizer trading with LATAM focus.
• Strong knowledge of Latin American fertilizer markets and players.
• Proven ability to originate, negotiate, and execute profitable trades.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of clients, suppliers, and trading counterparties across Latin America.
• Identify new business opportunities through market analysis and pricing intelligence.
• Negotiate physical fertilizer purchase and sales contracts maximizing profitability while managing risks.
• Monitor regional supply/demand dynamics, pricing, freight rates and product availability.
• Collaborate with logistics, finance, risk, operations and trade finance teams for contract execution.
• Build lasting relationships with producers, distributors, customers, brokers and local partners.
• Contribute to the company’s commercial growth across Latin American markets.
