Job summary

Redstone Commodity Search collaborates with a dynamic, family-owned commodities trading group in Dubai to recruit a Cement Trader focused on cement-related products (clinker, cement, gypsum, slag, fly ash). You will lead promotion and expansion of trading operations and build strong supply relationships across LATAM and Africa.

The role requires 5-7 years in cement trading, proven negotiations, deep knowledge of LATAM/Africa market dynamics and the ability to manage risk and secure favorable

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of cement/cementitious product trading experience.
• Proven track record in negotiations and client relationships.
• Knowledge of LATAM and/or Africa regional markets and trade practices.

Responsibilities

• Promote and expand trading operations for cement-related products (clinker, cement, gypsum, slag, fly ash).
• Establish and maintain relationships with cement suppliers and customers across LATAM and/or Africa.
• Analyze cement market trends, supply/demand dynamics, and pricing strategies for LATAM/Africa.
• Lead negotiations for procurement and sales, securing favorable terms while navigating regional regulations and nuances.
• Evaluate and mitigate trading risks in the specified regions.

Redstone Commodity Search is delighted to collaborate with a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned commodities trading group in their search for a Cement Trader to bolster their Dry Freight Product team in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Promotion and expansion of trading operations, with a primary focus on cement-related products, including clinker, cement, gypsum, slag, fly ash etc.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with cement suppliers and customers across LATAM and/or Africa.
• Conduct thorough and continuous analysis of cement market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and pricing strategies specific to LATAM and/or Africa.
• Lead negotiations for cement procurement and sales. Work diligently to secure favourable terms and conditions while navigating regional complexities, regulations, and cultural nuances.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with trading activities in these regions.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cement / clinker /fly Ash / Gypsum or cementitious products trading.
• Proven track record of successful negotiations and relationship-building in the cement industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the regional market dynamics, regulatory environment, and trade practices in Latin America and/or Africa.
• Bring a valuable and transferable book of business that underscores a history of successful client relationships and revenue generation.
