Job summary

CargoX in Abu Dhabi is building autonomous delivery operations and seeks a hands-on Operations & Fulfilment Lead. You will own live delivery performance, standardize processes, and drive fixes through close collaboration with product and engineering teams.

With 3–5 years in relevant delivery operations, you will build real-time dashboards, monitor metrics, and lead a small team from day one, ensuring on-time landings and high customer satisfaction across the UAE market.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in last-mile delivery or related field.
• Ability to decompose a messy operation and make it repeatable.
• Track record of moving a measurable metric with a compelling story.
• Proficient in SQL and BI to pull and slice data.
• Experience building dashboards or prototypes with AI tools.
• Hands-on UAE/GCC operation experience.
• Fluent English; based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Own on-time delivery rate, fulfilment success rate, vehicle utilisation, exception rate and MTTR metrics.
• Establish fulfilment standards and SOPs for field and service teams.
• Real-time monitoring and an escalation model with root-cause documentation.
• Translate field problems into prioritized, evidence-backed asks for product and engineering and drive fixes.

Job description

We operate autonomous delivery vehicles in the UAE. This role owns whether those deliveries actually land — on time, without failure, without a complaint.

Once a customer is live and vehicles are on the road, the fulfilment flow is yours: order intake, dispatch, pickup, driving, customer handover. You will take it apart, make it measurable, watch it in real time, and drive the fixes. You will lead a team of 2–3.

Expect to firefight. Early-stage operations break in ways nobody has documented yet, and you will need to contain problems fast, often on incomplete information. But every incident should leave behind a standard, a monitor, or a fix — we will judge you on how fast you contain today’s problem, and on how few of them you are still containing three months in.

What You’ll Own

• On-time delivery rate, fulfilment success rate, vehicle utilisation, exception rate and MTTR — the numbers this role is measured on.


• Fulfilment standards and SOPs that our field and service teams run on.


• Real-time monitoring and the escalation model — with a documented root cause for every major failure.


• Turning field problems into prioritised, evidence-backed asks for product and engineering — and following through until the metric moves.

What You’ll Need

• 3–5 years in last-mile delivery, on-demand logistics, ride‑hailing, quick commerce or fleet operations.


• Proven ability to build process, not just run it — you have taken a messy operation, decomposed it, and made it repeatable by others. This matters more to us than years of management.


• A metric you personally moved, and the story of how.


• SQL and BI — you pull and cut your own data rather than queuing behind an analyst.


• Skilled with AI tools — you build your own dashboards, analyses or prototypes instead of waiting on someone else.


• A track record of driving fixes through teams you don’t manage.


• Hands‑on operating experience in the UAE or wider GCC.


• Fluent English; based in Abu Dhabi or ready to relocate.

Preferred

• Autonomous vehicle, delivery robot or teleoperation background.


• Team leadership experience.


• Zero‑to‑one market launch.
